The reason that NO ONE (neither Jews nor non-Jews) can follow the commandments perfectly and be sinless is because we ALL have sinned and fall short of God's glory. It all goes back to the question of whether or not a person believes in original sin. I believe in it, so I do not think it is possible for anyone to be sinless except for Yeshua. It's because no one can live up to the Law completely (several people on here have said that if you sin at just one point of the Law you have broken the entire Law) that Yeshua had to come to pay for our sins. Yes, some people have more success at following God's laws than others. But the point is that all have sinned. Do you know anyone in your life that has not sinned at some point in their life? Have you lived a perfect, sinless life? God's standards are way higher than any human can achieve because of the fall. Yet Yeshua was able to do it because He had no sin.
The fact that Yeshua came and died on the cross for us is an example of how just God is. The punishment that we deserved fell on Him, and He took it all. He did live up to the high standards of the Law and because He was able to do so, He was in a position to redeem us who cannot live up to God's standard.
This my friends is what I continue to point out about Christian Theology, they are about half right, but the other half is, (well for a lack of a better word ) is poppycock.
Yeshua did come to re-instate the original state of man(this is the part they get right) pay the penalty for the original sin(our sin nature) Adam had only one command to keep, and he could have refrained from eating from that forbidden tree and made it to the tree of life and attained an immortal soul, but he did not, thereby defacing the image of God, the second man Adam came and did not sin and died for the sin in the world, not the first God nor the second God but the second man Adam, another man in the Image of God, the only begotten son of the Living God, holy because he obeyed his father and did not deface the image. He has to yet to fulfill all the things he has to do, but at his coming he will complete the mission and all Israel shall be saved.
To backup a ways, if Yeshua was Y H V H I for one find fault with his waiting 4000 years to bring savation the the world except for the Jews!
To several people he stated his mission was to the lost sheep of Israel; Mt 15:24 He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."; 26 And he answered, "It is not fair to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs."27 She said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table."
So he states he has come to the Children of Israel and to this very day God has blinded the unbelievers so they cannot see the glory of the Messiah. So my friends there is in the Christian Theology a missing element, Sha'ul and all the disciples reveal it, they (Children of Israel) are the enemy of God for the sake of the Gentiles, he opens the way for the nations to become children of Israel by the grafting in process, this element is a grand failure of the children of Israel, to be a light to the nations and bring them to God. Now Yeshua has done it and when the fullness of the Gentiles, he will return for the Lost sheep of Israel, God will remove the veil from their eyes and they will see the glory of the Messiah.
To keep the commandments perfectly is the myth of the Christians, He wants his people to to be his people and he himself be their God, the turning away from God to things he created was the thing he detests, with faith in the Living God man can walk upright before the Lord.
By all means the bible is absolutelty clear that Yeshua has taken away the sins of the world and by faith, man is able to defeat sin.
Y H V H has enthroned Yeshua at his right hand and given the Kingdom to him. He Yeshua has been obedient unto death, glorifing the Father, the Father has installed Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords, has glorified Him.
Amen
