i have realized that the 'spirit' is not OUR spirit, but the RHK that puts our new nature in us after being spiritually circumcised of the foreskin of our flesh nature- the Yetzer hara. as soon as the spirit enters the body, the Yetzer hara fights back.

Yes this is what Sha'ul is speaking about in Ro.7, the spirit and the flesh/yetzer harah, if your faith is good then your flesh is dead to the sin nature. As we keep the word strong in us we are able to keep the flesh at bay.

so when we are alive in sin, we are dead to YHVH, but when we die to sin, we are alive in YHVH. this sin is the yetzer hara. WOW. it is vital to understand the concept of the yetzer hara if you want to exegetically understand the meaning of shaul lin romans, and bar-nabba in hebrews.

"flesh" refers to human nature in pauline theology. it is more or less a psychological term: every mans "flesh" is his natural behavior, namely animosity against the mitzvot of YHVH.
the spirit is the RHK that comes in and becomes one with the flesh to a saved person. but without the RHK we cannot live a life with imputed righteousness, for we would be considered "dead" to God. (see "immortality of the soul" and read posts about "sacred chai")
