does man every really trully have any new ideas? this was a discussion me and john had way back when and my question is do u think they do or that every thinbg has be thought of years before. anmd ps lol am i the main source for this file of genral discussion Hello Neptune, Did you mean "emanation" or "imitation?" The Bible says that "there is nothing new under the sun." Basically there is nothing new. Most of the ideas that are thought of as "new" are based upon some old idea. For example, two thousand years ago people didn't have cars. In the late 1800s they were new. However, the idea of a vehicle transporting people was not new then. People had been using chariots for a long time before. In the current age that we are in man didn't walk on the moon until the 1960s, but perhaps in previous ages it had already been done. There is another thing to consider regarding this discussion. Sometimes things are not new, but not truly understood until much later. For example the Bible codes or things like that. People in recent years have been looking into this, but even centuries ago there were people studying them. Whenever the first person saw them it would have been a "new" discovery. However they existed before they were discovered. Sir Isaac Newton who studied the Bible Codes also gave us a "new" perspective and model of gravity. His "discovery" transformed science to this day. However, he didn't invent gravity, but simply discovered certain truths about it. What do you think?
