Sure,
How about John, the Psalms, or Ephesians? 1 Corinthians 13 or 15? Romans?

i would start with either the Gospel of John, or 1 john, or romans.
i personally like the books: 1 jn, James, Hebrews, Romans, and 1 cor 15. (of the NT) and Genesis, Ezek. 1, portions of Isaiah and psalms, portions of Job (of the OT).
my favorite verses (i cannot decide on one so i will read some to you):
Job 40:6-7a 6Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm and said, 7"Now gird up your loins like a man; (God basically tells job to grow some balls! :-))
Ro. 10:4 4For Christ is the telos* of the law for righteousness to (B)everyone who believes *telos is the greek word meaning: goal, purpose, the whole of something, the completeness of something. it was a term coined by Ya'akov (he. and Ya.).
Ya'akov (James) 2:14 13For The Judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment
Ya. 1:15 15Then when our desires are conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
Ya. 1:16 16Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
Ya. 1:26-27 26If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless.
27Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
i have to go now, but hopefully some of these verses helped
