Have you ever realized one strange thing in Revelation, during sealing of 1200 people from every tribe of Israel?
4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. 5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000, 6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000, 7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000, 8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000. Revelation 7:4-8
The strange thing is, why there is Joseph and Manasseh, because Manasseh and Ephraim are sons of Joseph - and Dan is missing.
How is it possible? What happened or what should happen to the tribe of Dan, being counted out of Lord's salvation?

well, there is evidence that the book of revelation was written in hebrew or aramaic and such. there is too much to get into it here.
however, maybe one of the translators made a scribal error. perhaps mannasseh was supposed to be Dan, and Yosef includes both ephraim and mannesseh? perhaps it was just a mistake?
also, there may be reasons why Dan was left out:
Genesis 49, Jacob talks about each of his children and their futures. When he gets to Dan, he likens him to a serpent.
in Judges, the tribe of Dan was setting up a priest just for their tribe. The priest that they got was called “father” and had taken a vow of poverty (Judges 17:10). This priest was also an idol-worshipper and a thief (Judges 18:20)
to the time of the kings, we notice that when the kingdom was split in two, Jeroboam, the king of the Northern Kingdom (Israel), made 2 golden calves to keep his subjects from going to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. This was done in response to his concerned that traveling to Jerusalem might lead to reuniting the kingdom under Rehoboam. He put one calf in Bethel and the other up in Dan. All of this is found in 1 Kings 12, and verse 30 says, “And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.” Dan, then, became the center of pagan worship for the 10 tribes in the north.
the last time the name Dan is mentioned in scripture is found in Amos 8:14. That verse says, “They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.” Again the context of this verse connects Dan to idolatry.
anyway... Yochanon probably got this information from Yaakov, who was a scholar on the tribes of Yisrael, as mentioneed even in his ccanonized epistle, in the first few verses. (to the twelve tribes despersed amoung the nations). perhaps as we learn more of the historical james, we will learn more about his doctrine on the tribes.

This theme is very obscure and interesting as I see.
In case that Dan should be forgotten and counted out of salvation, there might be a possibility that as all the Sons of Israel shall return to their land, what has been promised and from 1948, it is fulfilling - slowly, but it is.
Concerning Ezekiel, chapter 48 - there are all tribes in comparison to Revelation, even Dan is here. That should, however, mean that this period prophesied by Ezekiel from chapter 40-48 should be somewhere in near future, when all the Sons of Israel are gathered back to Eretz. This should even be done before Yeshua returns. So it's not in millenial kingdom, but soon, in time of building the 3rd temple.
If there exists tribe of Dan in presence, then the tribe hasn't yet vanished.
However into future - and you made me remember that Dan's insignia is serpent with all that other...
As far as Dan = serpent, one Isaiah's prophecy comes into my mind. It coudn't be fulfilled yet.
28 This is the burden which came in the year that King Ahaz died. 29 “ Do not rejoice, all you of Philistia, Because the rod that struck you is broken; For out of the serpent’s roots will come forth a viper, And its offspring will be a fiery flying serpent. 30 The firstborn of the poor will feed, And the needy will lie down in safety; I will kill your roots with famine, And it will slay your remnant. 31 Wail, O gate! Cry, O city! All you of Philistia are dissolved; For smoke will come from the north, And no one will be alone in his appointed times.” 32 What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, And the poor of His people shall take refuge in it. (Isaiah 14:28-32)
Now, this prophecy says about Philistea - that should be Palestine - the land of Philistines. In the last verse it says that in this time it is that the Sons of Israel should be finally gathered into Eretz (interesting is that from north - the smoke that will come and "no one will be alone in his appointed times" - as though it was saying that in that time no Jew will remain in the lands of the north).
Now, pay attention - from the serpent's root shall come a viper, its offspring will be a fiery flying serpent (verse 29). As though it was saying about Antichrist, seed from Dan while according to Genesis 3:15 seed of Satan that shall be defeated by Son of Man. Is it possible that this would be the consequence of missing the tribe of Dan in Revelation?

i dont think that we need to go so far as to say that Dan is the seeed of the serpent. i think there is a mor practical reasonm, that may not be revealed until the time comes.
