Yes, I'm interested in your thoughts on how the feast of pentecost foreshadowed the events of Acts 2. I'm teaching on Acts 2 this Sunday!

the Yisraelites went through the exodus and were given the letter of the law. Yeshua had just lead us through the greater exoodus and gives us the spirit of the law on pentecost.
3000 souls were killed in the desert- 3000 souls were saved when kefa preached.
we are baptised in the name of Yeshua (seperate from water baptism) and the Yisraelites were baptised in the coud/fire/water in the name of mosheh.

Can you give me a reminder of what the Jews have historically done to observe Pentecost?

Not in the name of Yeshua?, before incarnation to a man? Shaul says about that in his letters that Sons of Israel were baptised... and so on... and drank from the rock (foreshadowing symbol) - Yeshua.

we can be baptised in the name of someone else- it is not bad. however, THE mikveh is to be done in the name of Yeshua- the one symbolizing you dying and rising o self.
i think i answered your question, but i dont know.

What about this? Shaul seems to disapprove baptising in another name than Yeshua as though it was quite dangerous. 1.Corinthians 1 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. But yeah, on the other side, I know there was John's baptism.

but this is referring to THE baptism. you can get other mikvehs done. the Yisraelites were baptised in the name of mosheh. Yochanon baptised in the name of Yochanon., etc. THE baptism is to be done in the name of Yeshua.
