i am basing it off of the evidence we have to work with. and just because it is a thought of man doesnt mean it is wrong. you have no problem listening to psychological theories because they dont go against your philosophical leanings. same with almost everything else that fits that description. many of them use the same methods that are used to determine the conclusions that go against your philosophical leanings as well!
The fact is this: the bible was undoubtedly written by men. too many mistakes persist and supernatural logic fails to impress.

Now, this is a problem, and a big one. Saying that because it's a thought of man doesn't mean to be wrong, where is the ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY? One man says one, other says another.
If anyone lower down Biblical scriptures to rank of human philosophical work, there can't anyone say to be believer in the right sense. Doing so, the Scripture (which Yeshua himself declared to be unchangeable and unabolishable) is given to same position as scriptures of other religions and philosophies, that are mere work of men.
Now then, your view prove to be humanistic from rennaisance which also deny the divinity of content of the Scripture. Now I am afraid It's difficult to ask you, but there seems to be no other choice but: "What believer and follower of Yeshua are you?" or "Do you actually believe in God?"
You stand in crossroads. Two ways are possible only: One way, saying: "I am the way, the truth and the life... No one comes to Father..." - you know Who said it.
The second one says: "Nothing is true. Truth is relative. Everything is relative." - that means you'll not ever see Lord, God himself, because He is relative, isn't He? that means you'll in fact not go into heaven, you'll not be happy, cos these things are relative, aren't they?
Now there comes your responsibility to decide where.
