in galatians Shaul proves that the law is not of faith by quoting lev. 18:5 (he who does my mitzvot will have Chai through them). what does this mean?
this is what i deducted:
the only person who can gain a spot imn the afterlife is one who perfectly observes the law. however, since every man has fallen short of the glory of Yah, than we HAVE to have faith in Yehsua, the only person to have observed the whole law(ALL 613 mitzvot), to gain this righteousness. Because we are in the body of Yeshua HaMashiach, than we go throug imputation. and know we are justified through Faith in Yeshua. so the law is not of faith, but that is why Yeshua came- so that it could be followed with faith. not that this mitzvot is changed, or abolished in any way, but that it can only be followed through Faith in Yeshua.
shalom- john
also note that even after we are saved, we will do works, but those works are not for salvation, but OF salvation. and it is not us doing them, for we have died to our self, but Yeshua's spirit in us, which is joined to our own through a process called 'consummation.' (this will have to be elaborated on later).
